Today, after little deliberation we decided to start exploring the east side of the 15 freeway and all that it offers. A simple search gave us a list of Antique Shops and considering the drive, it seemed very reasonable of an adventure into the unknown. Located in the Historic Downtown of Redlands, this Shop is a beauty of its own. With four levels of shopping (each one of which is filled with gorgeous items), Redlands Galleria focuses on Antiques, Collectibles and fine Gifts.

We were told last year, by a couple of local vendors that Redlands, CA is the place to go for great Antiques and Vintage finds (Pomona, CA and Crestline, CA, Included). We didn’t have something special plan for today and after waking up to a lovely and warm day, we realized it was the perfect opportunity to go our there and explore. Our course was set for the city of Redlands. We had a wonderful drive to and fro and what a sight of our beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. Road trips are truly the best (for us, at least).

Vintage Crystal Cut Glass Holder/Dish. — *Vintage Carousel Horse with Vintage Crystal Cut Glass Column & Holder.*

We took our time checking each level of the shop. Truth is, we wanted to buy everything. So many beautiful things! In the end, I spotted a Vintage Carousel Horse with Vintage Crystal Cut Glass Column and Holder, just stunning (Ceramic horse, Wood base, Metal rod, Crystal Cut Glass and a nickel plated brass Canopy). The sculpture is mounted on an oblong wood base. I am grateful for a good find and a good day.

If you are looking for Antiques, Vintage and other Collectibles items, you should definitely visit this shop. It’s huge, it’s inviting, it’s structured and the items are reasonably priced.

I have been to Linda Marie’s Enchanted Treasures twice before this day and in every single trip I get mesmerized. Everything is so beautiful that you want to touch every single piece. So much lovelies everywhere. It’s simply dreamy. And the loveliest of all, Linda Marie, herself. Graceful, energetic, helpful, lively, friendly and funny.

Rule #1. Don’t get discouraged by the size of her Shop.
Remember the saying, ‘great things come in small packages.’ Linda Marie has a paradise of goodness at the back of her shop (without counting what’s inside: clothing, collectibles and more). Because words cannot describe her collections, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

I have personally come to enjoy and love Primitive decor as it adds charm and a Country feel to my Home. While touring the three stories of the Pomona Antique Mart, I found a lovely vintage statue for my garden! How wonderful. It’s a Little girl gardening with a duck (they are both looking at their empty planter). I am thinking about painting it; then again, I might just leave it as is. I guess, time will tell. I am looking forward to displaying it for Spring, along side the Gnomes collection, when my beautiful garden will be in full bloom.

Prior to leaving, we visited Cheryl’s Antiques, which is one of the shops across the street from Pomona Antique Mart. We’ve been there once or twice before, without giving it much attention as it was always closing time or we were in a rush rush situation. Today, fortunately for us, we had a little time to spare and we used it wisely.

I found a very old and rare vintage Christmas Tree Hugger amidst a pile of vintage Christmas decorations. As much as I love the vintage Christmas Pixie Elf Knee Hugger (and held back the urge to buy one); I am grateful that my patience paid off and I found something even more special. This particular Tree Hugger made my day.

My boys, on the other hand, were more interested in Micro Machines and found a couple that caught their eyes.

Vintage Nativity Set

Aside from having a White Christmas Tree this year, Christmas itself wouldn’t have been complete without a Nativity set. As a lover of old things, you can’t imagine the joy I felt when I spotted a beautiful Vintage Porcelain Nativity Set of the Holy Family. I am grateful to have stumbled upon this set and I intend to keep for a lifetime. The beauty of the set is captivating and features carefully crafted porcelain. The colors are vibrant with wonderful detailing and finishing. Joseph is 12 inches tall, Mary is 9 inches high and baby Jesus is 4 inches long.

*Vintage Porcelain Nativity Set (The Holy Family).*

For our Nativity Angel, we’ll be using a Fontanini Simonelli Cherub Angel (playing a harp) which we purchased from an estate sale a couple of months ago. This Cherub is made of heavy duty composite and plastic material. It’s an adorable piece and the details are stunning and simply breathtaking. There is an attached loop on the back for hanging (just don’t use it on a Christmas Tree as it’s quite heavy). It measures 7 3/4 inches in length.
