“Christmas is the day that holds all time together.” — Alexander Smith
This year has been very difficult for many of us.
We are still here, still breathing, still standing, still fighting, still dreaming and still hoping.
May the magic of Christmas together with Nature, conspire in your favor and fill your hearts with peace and joy. May your pain fade away and the days ahead be merry and bright.
The weather has been at its best all year long and I am very thankful for it all. Christmas was wonderful at our home yesterday and this morning, we have been blessed with more snow fall. We woke up to a sublime sight as everything was covered in white (our second snowfall of the year).
Early in the morning after breakfast, I excitedly walked around the backyard with my phone, taking photos of this beautiful winter scenery. Personally, I am quite content with this amount of snow and I am really hoping that we wouldn’t get more of it.
My daughter pointed out the palm tree on the picture below, stating that the weight of the snow on some of the fans has transformed the tree into a fancy dress. Can you see it?
I love the view from my backyard, which is still a work in progress. I love how snow makes pretty much everything look beautiful, fresh, dreamy and magical.
With one or two days of sunshine, the snow will be completely gone, revealing all the lovely green. Before that, we should be able to build a snowman this time around.
I hope everyone is staying warm and having a wonderful time this holiday season.
It’s that time of year again and this season, I am doing the best I can to avoid any form of cold injury. Last winter I suffered from a mild case of chilblain and I was quite miserable.
Some of you may remember the furry Report Cove, an Alpine-inspired boot. I purchased mine back in 2006 (just because I found them interesting). They turned out to be very useful 12 years later and are now part of my favorite Winter boots.
Although I am not a fan of UGG® (some of the designs can be an eyesore, to say the least); however, these shoes are well made, light, extremely comfortable and will keep your feet comfortably warm.
Surprisingly, my UGG® Raana Rain Boots are the most comfortable of them all. Too bad I can’t wear them all the time.
I like UGG® Boots and I love Sneakers, so when I saw the gorgeous fusion in these UGG® Mika Classic Sneakers, I was drawn like a magnet. They are not only beautiful, but comfortable and warm too. I got all the colors available (Antilope, Black and Chestnut).
I hope you keep your feet warm throughout the Winter season.
Much to everyone’s surprise it still hasn’t snowed in the High Desert and my kids, who were looking forward to making snow angels were a little disappointed. Our mornings are chilly and the nights are long and cold. It has rained a lot lately, causing flooding, mudslides and other property damages.
Even though we didn’t get any snow (and most likely will not be getting any this Winter season), for the first time in many years, our mountains covered by thick snow look prettier than ever.
